Bms for phylion 36v

Hello to anyone.
I recently open my Phylion e-bike battery and see that the cells(prismatic by the way)
are alla balanced at 3.8v.
My battery is dead cause i measure the all pack and it sais 38.2v
My question is tha i asume that is the bms problem(dead).
Where can i find similar cause its can -bus

Did you check your charger? It should measure/have an output of 42v.

Yes of course.The gharger is 42v but the bms seems broken.
Can i put a universal?

If you can connect a generic battery to your bikes system and run it ok then its a safe bet a generic bms system will also provide your bike with power with your original cells.

Otherwise probably not, Im only aware of ebike batteries using comms for bad reasons like making sure you can only use 'special' batteries. what reason do they give for adding the 'feature' to your bike? Safety?
so chances are low imho, but i have been wrong before..

if you have a throttle you may be able to test with the charger supplying power? to start up the bike and only just opening the speed control enough to just turn the motor see if you can run for a minute or so.. - not an acid test as validation may only be required on drawing a high load?? but an indicator if no generic battery is available..

Highly unlikely one will find a replacement CANbus BMS , one CAN'T use a genric BMS either as it is very likely the controller is part of the CANbus set up as well as maybe the display . All of the extra CANbus wiring enables comm's protocols/hand shaking bewteen all the electronic components.

It might help if we know the bike model/brand.

As i saw the bike actually doesnt need the can bus .
It seems like needed only for the comunication with bbest (scaner)for e-bikes.
My problem is that i cant find other with led indicator.

Hope your right and I have been proven wrong.
But I urge you to check with running the bike from a generic 2 wire battery for a little while to confirm.
A recent post on endless-sphere.com/ involved a chap who reported his scooter would run a couple of miles/minutes and cut off, turns out he had disconnected the thin wires connecting to his battery. Consequently when the BMS/bike system polled/verified the battery a few miles into the journey he lost power.

The LED indicator is not part of the BMS. It works completely independently.

Its part of BMS where if you see its connected direct to bms see at my 1st picture
I am familiar with one version of that battery. The leds and button is mounted on the BMS circuit board and is precisely mounted against the inside of the window on the casing. You would probably need a similar exact replacement BMS to get the button and leds to match up with the outer casing. The button in particular needs to be accurately placed behind the soft pad on the case.
You can get cheap 'charge indicators' separate as example below but then again they may not line up or be waterproof in your case.

Just i thought it.After a wille the e-bike stops.{2-3 minutes}
I assume tha the controller needs the parametrs from the battery to keep going.
any sulution will be very helpfull.

It has to be the 4wires plug which is for activating the controller?
Its for a bafang rear carrier bike

IMHO, you're wasting your time.

You're assuming your BMS is dead... have you tried manually charging the cells up to 42v? You're also assuming it's CANbus. IMHO, the age makes it far more likely UART communications.

It's VERY unlikely you'll find a proper-fit/comms-compatible BMS unless it's an actual Phylion one that's been stripped from an old battery that's already been junked because the cells were knackered (your battery style is so old/redundant that might be possible).

Your photo - post #8 - shows it's a Phylion Wall-ES... You can buy whole brand new direct replacement 36v 13Ah batteries for about £200 from places like Yose.

I have changed the bms with one universal.
The cells now gives me 42v 4.2v per qroup but after i wille the bike turn of.
I think that its the activation with controller.
When you put on the battery the controller recontize it and keeps running.
How can i do it with tne universal?

I wouldn't be very confident with success but it might be worth a punt providing the original bms with some power and hooking it upto the controller/display on your bike with its coms connection, Best case scenario your display will show bms errors but the system will rely on the error reporting bms to shut off power.. so the bike could???? retain power from the new replacement battery/bms and perhaps run longer than a few mins????

bound to fail but would nag at me if went untested..
