Bought the metal stand for £9 from Toolstation and £3.50 morter mix from Wickes creating a trough in the ground.
I use when getting bike out the garage or when I get home while I lift garage door.
I know I should have a bike stand but I've snapped two off so given up on them. Don't help when you ride off with stand down. Ha 59004

That can't happen to my Dahon's bike stand - it's positioned on the frame such that the left pedal kicks it up. Another example of well thought out Dahon design.
