I think the purpose of the chair in question was less practical, to enable the owner to ride an A10 on "L" plates

A bit like the trials sidecars, just a tiny platform and a couple of grab handles!

Greatly in contrast to my first boss's outfit, a 1000cc Matchless V twin engined Brough Superior with Blackburn double adult sidecar. That was an imposing outfit, all in gleaming black and chrome.

When the family grew he eventually swapped it for a Hillman Minx.
