Hi all.

I don't fancy panniers on my bike but I do want the ability to hide my battery.

Does anyone have any tips?

I have a feeling I'm not going to get a straight answer with you lot :D

I will probably disconnect it when not in use.

Ordered on Thursday but they have a back log due to high numbers of orders. Being posted out today

Don't put it in the toilet cistern. That's the first place they look and it ruins the battery anyway. Instead, try the cupboard under the stairs, nobody will find it there.

Sorry!

Wow, rustic! I may invest in panniers in due course. I currently have on order a bag that sits on top of the back rather than hanging down the sides.

I have secured a bike box at my place of work so I'm happy with the security

I didn't want to open a new thread just for this question, so here goes..

Will it be detrimental to the battery if I take the bike out for a couple of miles whizz round the block without fully charging the battery? I'm assembling it tonight and I just can't wait!!

no. The battery has LVC protection, when it runs out of juice, it shuts itself down. When they are made, they are loaded with 50% charge. You can do about 20 miles before running out of juice.
