Hi, I am a new member here and considering buying a bafang crank drive 250w kit but its minus the battery, so can anyone give me some idea on a downtube mounted battery which is reliable and value for money and also where i can purchase one from

Any 36v battery will work, buy one from Woosh bikes or Eclipse bikes. The Hailong case are now quite popular.

Be careful of cheap batteries offered with no-name or unbranded cells. They will disappoint with poor performance and longevity.
State what sort of range you're thinking, type of terrain (off road/on road) and your general weight and fitness. Then there will be some more specific suggestions.
