BO1S pads I get off ebay, I get the 4 or 6 pair multi buy ones as they work out quite cheap. The resin ones don't last very long using off road maybe 400/500 miles if I'm lucky sometimes less then 100 miles on the s/downs in the wet chalk conditions,, on road I get about 1.5k miles from them. Have just got some sintered which are harder but haven't had them on long enough to know how they wear, but should be better.

My disks have resin pads only stamped into them. You might want to check yours.

There is a simple truth here and it's not always about money. If you know and understand exactly what you want then on line is fine, but I for one don't and prefer to either take the bike or the pads to a bike shop to be sure that I get the right ones.
If you are happy paying x5-7 more than online price.

I have a dozen disc rotors and non state they are for resin only, rotors that have this stamped on them is to prevent excess heat that will warp them.

m355 caliper uses B01S pads as do many calipers up to m535 & 575, ranges include Acera, Altus, Deore & Deore lx.
4 pairs resin/organic can be had for £10.40 on ebay though not genuine Shimano but a copy.
4 pairs semi- metallic £11 or full metallic/sintered £14.50.

thanks all after a lot of looking at sets of pads the guys in Halfords handed me shimano bso1 to suite the 355, but the 355 is not listed on the rear of the retail package.
I also could not see anything relating to resin/metal/sintered on package, was assured the bso1 would fit the 355 cost genuine shimano bso1 £7.86
would buy sintered in future .

If it is genuine Shimano BS01 pad (shimano package), it will work for M355. Metal pads will have different P/N.

Price is good for retail.

After reading this I stepped away from Halfords, did a little searching and found some Gorilla full metal sintered pads, advertised with an extra strong spring so bought some for the front. To begin with they seemed ineffective but soon started working like nothing I have had before.. Good buy for £5.99

I just bought some pads for my bike. 4 pairs for £16. Should last me a lifetime. That was the first attention my bike's had in 4000 miles. The front brake started making rubbing noises, but when I took the old pads out, they were only half worn. It was a build up of dust and crud around them that was causing the problem (never cleaned). As I had to take the pads off to clean it all up and I had 4 pairs of the bloody things, I thought i might as well fit new ones. Now everything is back to normal and working perfectly.
