I have done about 100miles with no problem at all so It seems like the issue solved itself :)

I think there was a moisture somhere and when it dryed the problems gone.

Can you advice me how can I protect my kit from moisture in the future?

It depends which version you have. The later ones have a sealed controller compartment, where the only issue is that water can get in where the cables come into it. Theearlier version without the sealed compartment is going to be a problem if you ride in heavy rain and/or salty winter roads.

Throttles are the weak point on all versions. Put a freezer bag over it whenever it rains. If you don't fit a throttle, make sure that the connector is fully waterproofed with a blanking plug, and the same with the gear sensor/break sensor connector.

Occasionally water gets into LCDs when they didn't seal them properly in the factory. Again, a freezer bag and rubber bandgives insurance against that. The cable entry is a vulnerable point, especially if you pulled the cable too hardto break the seal, so make sure your bag goes below that.

Unfortunately I got an error 30 again. After a careful examination I noticed that a cable from speedo is damaged. It was not completely cut - just outside layer of isolation of tiny black inner cable was teared. White one and red one were fine. I have fixed the cable and tested the motor but I still got an error 30. Is it passible that faulty cable couse a controller damage?

You need to unplug that connector and check whether you have 5V between a pair of the pins that go to the controller, then plug it in and check the same on the throttle connector.

ok I need to get a meter to do it so I have to wait until tommorow because my lokal DIV store is close. If the controller is damaged can anyone tell me where can I get a new one?
I need a controller for BBS02B 750W 25A motor.

I am not interested in chinese stores because I need to get motor working asap.

I have found 3 stores:
https://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk £114.99
https://fasterbikes.eu 135€
http://www.selfharmorganisation.org.uk/Bafang8fun-48v-750w-25a-2016-New-Version-Bbs02b-Motor-Controllerelectric-Bike-Controller-p-2756:51c771bfae64f1ead0a389cfa6b25850.html £107.62

I cannot find any opinions about the last one. Does anyone order from them?

I think I do not need to check a voltage anymore. The controller is definitly faulty. I took it off the motor to check all connections inside the motor and when I pluged them back in I got a black display. I was sure I have damaged the display but when I fitted in my first controller (which has been damaged by water ingress through the throttle) the display went on.

just to make sure I am ordering the right one:
http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk/spares/bafang-8fun/bafang-controllers-by-bafang.html
will be compatible with http://eclipsebikes.com/product_info.php?products_id=5

The display should still switch on even with a caput controller

The culprit could be somewhere else, eg 1-4 cable

Try disconnecting the 1-4 cable (controller end), and test with a paper clip to power up the controller

That's right. The LCD works completely independently from the controller. If it doesn’t switch on, it's either broken or it has no battery supply.

I have done that. It suplies ~52v but when I plug in the display it stays dead.

I have tried with old controller (killed by the water ingress) and the display went on... it seems like 1-4 cable is ok.

I am still waiting for new controller from 7http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk/spares/bafang-8fun/bafang-controllers-by-bafang.html

acording to info on their webside ,,delivery can be expected 1-3 business days from ordering " but when I asked them on last friday whats my order status they told me that it should arrive to a warhouse on monday...

I could order from alliexpress it would be cheaper

Could you check continuity between battery +ve /-ve and the corresponding pin on the 8 pin connector?

Repeat with the flood damaged controller for reference

You may have a (potentially repairable) wire break in the controller harness

PS please consider an external controller when making any future purchases. In my experience the bbs controllers (new, old, whatever version) have nowhere near the level of tolerance to a dying/dead hall sensor as a kunteng controller

Which pins are on the 8 pin connector are corresponding? I wish it is something repeatable and I was able to fix it...

I will definitely consider that... Can you name any controller compatible with bbs02b?

I think it’s

1 to batt +ve
8 to batt -ve

It’s only a continuity check so no damage will be done. It’ll be interesting to do back to back checks with your other controller

Have a browse on bms battery for 48v kunteng controllers. I personally prefer the battery base controllers, but they may not deliver the amps you need
