Hello,

With both these controllers costing $85:

36v 350w
48v 350w

Is there any difference in the components of the controller, or is it a bit like the 250w/350w 15A/18A programming change? I would have expected some price difference. I am curious as have some spare (identical) cells I could weld onto the current pack (with a new BMS) to change it from 36v to 42v... maybe.

From the spec sheet, does anyone know where the efficiency is measured from, 36/42/48v or 15/18A seeing as it states two values throughout for RPM. Mine I guess, is an earlier version (1709xxx bbs01b) as it doesn't have the 6v output for lights.

thanks.

you will need a new 48V LCD.

Unloaded rpm at nominative voltage/fully charged voltage
n0 (Rpm) 83/87
Loaded rpm at nominative voltage/fully charged voltage
nT(Rpm) 78/83

Efficiency greater than or equal to 80% at those rpms

Decent lights require up to and over 7 W so you just have to forget the convenience of a button turning them on and off and connect direct to the battery.
