Hi all
It's probably been asked numerous times, but I'm.looking to increase my range and asking if it would be safe to swap my 48v 11.6AH battery with a 48V 18AH battery?
Same manufacturer and fittings on both batteries. Just want to know if this is as straight forward as it seems to be?

Yes, it's straight forward but you need to make sure that the positive and negative pins are the same.

Thanks for that, I'm "assuming " they are as they're both same manufacturer, housing, mounting and pin configuration (Shanshan bumblebee)

Shanshan makes the case but not the pack inside. You need to test the pins with a tester before you drop the battery in.

Always double check the polarity , it is a simple check to save a larger headache.
Also the charge time required will be somewhat much longer , 8.5 - 9hrs or so for a empty battery.

I bought a couple of batteries from these guys. The price is good, delivery was very fast and they work like they're supposed to.

Every time I've replaced a Hailong type battery on my bike, I've had to put new rivnuts in the frame because the fixing points were different. Electrically, it's just join the two wires.
