Battery Sizes

Just to add to the discussion I'm also a fan of a larger battery, but that is so I can do a hilly 20m commute without having to worry about the effect of headwind and whether I have enough range to use the lights.
20 Ah battery for me thanks.
In fact I think my next big purchase might be a 48V 20Ah battery for fun to compare with the 36v!

I don't want to be worrying about the odd mile or two detour, or a headwind bringing my range down. So I have a bigger than required battery, and no concerns about range.

Confused now... can the motor on my bike take a different voltage? I thought I was limited to the 26v of my existing battery

Am I better advised to buy 2x10Ah or one 24Ah? the price is equivelent

You must buy a 26 Volt battery if that is what you are replacing. A 36 Volt won't fit or work.

The 26 Volt batteries are available in a variety of capacities from 8Ah to 24Ah.
