hi, I have just found this excellent site and joined. I'm having problems with the battery on my byocycle bike. When the charger light is green the static charge lights on the top of the battery are all green. With the ign switch in the ON position testing the four slots on the bottom with my multi meter the outer +\-- slots show 41.6volts the inner +\-- slots are dead . I bought the bike second hand so don't know how old the battery is, I think the bike is 2013/14. Thanking you in advance for anyone's ideas. John

That's how it's supposed to be. What problem do you have?

Most bikes only use the outer two slots/pins.

if you give us details of what bike you have and exactly what the problem is, maybe we can help, but at the moment we don't have a lot to go on.

Two pinout readings are quite normal, batteries with multiple pin outs differ some will only use the outer two for POS and GND.
41.6v sounds pretty good pack voltage wise.
Which bike cuts out after a mile and under what road /riding conditions or terrain.

If both bikes have just two male connector prongs you could try swapping the batteries between the bikes to see if the issue transfers. That would identify if the battery is the issue. How long does the Byocycle battery take to charge?
