battery charging issues

Not realistic it's a false economy mixing new and old, new ones will wear out quicker due to lack of capacity likely in old cells & if four groups have failed some others won't be far behind.
Best deal and cells would be a re -cell via Jimmy an ebikebatteries .co.uk, might be about the same price. Does the bike use CANbus ?
not sure, it just has a crank sensor, KT display, and front hub motor.
is it worth getting samsung/panasonic over none make?

My preference would be LG or Samsung cells, no name cells are a lottery.
One cell producer quite a few won't have heard of is Molicell these are another top cell company from Canada.

I have found my Lithium ebike batteries very good, long lasting and retaining very good capacity and range.
But I use my bikes all year round so the batteries are being used regularly. That said, the one on my Haibike can go around 4 weeks without being used and very occasionally longer. I store it in the house around 55% and it is holding up very well and will be six years old in March.
The thing not to do is to stop riding at the end of the summer, leaving your battery on the bike in a cold shed or garage and expect it to be fine in the spring.
