Some time ago I put a Panda kit on this bike and had Jimmy make a battery to fit in a bag I already had and it looked like thisDSCF3026.JPG
However, I intended to use the battery on my own bike as well, when mounted it looked like this :

:eek:

So I enquired about battery bags, but despite D8veh's help, couldn't find anything that suited.
So, a few days ago I got rained off a job and had some spare time. That's when I thought,'I'll make one'.
Had some offcuts of oak lying around and this is what I came up with:

I think I've inadvertaintly made a baby coffin !:eek::D
Anyway it fits on the bike like this:

Battery sits in foam padding and the box is waterproofed with Osmo exterior hardwax. The black line around the lid is a gasket I fashioned out of some roofing rubber, Looks like it was made in a shed, which it was really. Not enough of that sort of thing around if you ask me.
How does it fit my other bike? It goes in a pannier, all 4Kg of it. Yes there is a weight penalty to shed bound craftmanship.:cool:
Still gives me a range boost to my 3 year old and slowly tiring Ezee battery.

Just needs a wee bit of sculpture, how about some nice Art Nouveau flower and vine motifs to highlight the green side of e-bikes? :D
