My battery came with the Anderson adapter (I think). However they gave an extra extender adapter which they gave me. Do I have to solder that to a bullet connector. My controller has bullet connectors for the positive and negative battery terminals. I have the voilamart 48v controller system. My battery is 52v 17ah.
Which connectors do you recommend. Links would be good ;)

Bullets are ok for a while then the Green insulation sleeve can cracks or melts if it gets warm more so on the controller phase wires.
For the battery chop off the bullets and either fit Anderson's or use XT30 30a cont or XT60 60a cont , for phase chop of bullets and use MT60.

I was given a soldering wire, I’m guessing this is to connect the Anderson to the bullet connector by soldering the wire into the bullet connector which is on my controller. Do I need to chop any wires (from my controller/battery). I’m no expert in electric wiring so don’t want to make a mistake. Here’s a picture of the extra wire/adapter that was supplied to me and is currently connected to the Anderson connector which came with my battery. Are there any methods of connection without soldering?

Cut off the connectors and solder the wires together. That will be cheaper, easier and more reliable.
By this you mean, cut off the bullet connectors on the controller, then solder the APP wire to the controller yh? I have a soldering iron kit from Amazon it's 60w I think, will that do the job?

That's what I mean. 60W will be fine. Strip each wire back about 5mm, push the wires together so they're interwoven. Run around pinching the outside to make them more flat. heat up a bit with the soldering iron, then add the solder. keep the iron on the wire all the time while adding more solder until the joint is soaked, then remove the iron. Don't forget to put on the heatshrink before bringing the wires together, and keep it well clear while you solder otherwise the heat will travel down the wire and shrink it, so you have to start again.
