Hi there, I am 75 years old, been retired 10 years and still like to get out on my bike. I have a manual mountain bike and a 2015 Batribike electric bike that I have had for 9 years. The Batribike is a Granite Pro and is in really good condition however I have a problem with the handlebar controller not working correctly (some odometer figures are missing and the battery power indicator is permanently on 4 out of 5 bars full even when battery is depleted). I have tried to buy a new one but am told this bike has Fallowgate wiring which is now obsolete. Can anyone offer any help please

Fallowgate wiring
Batribike Granite is a standard Chinese bike with standard Chinese parts. There's no such thing as Fallowgate wiring.

Show your LCD and its connector. We should be able to identify a suitable replacement, otherwise you can replace both the controller and the LCD together to get a working solution.

It's probably the same as the Wisper one:

Is this the handlebar display you have @shirty3836?
Shown in this YT vid @ 2:15.
I assume you meant "Fallowgate wiring" being proprietary wiring connectors made by the now dissolved company 'Fallowgate', as mentioned in the linked website.
The YT vid doesn't really show any of the wiring, so pics would be helpful.
Then someone with more nouse than me (like @saneagle) can recommend compatible replacements.

That's a very old version of the bike. The LCD looks like an a KT LCD1. If you have that one, you're laughing because they're only about £20. If that's the one you have, look at the controller to see if it's made by KT. LCD1 can be replaced with LCD5:

The later ones have the DMHC one I showed above, which is a lot more expensive, even though the controller is worse.

I've never seen a special connector on a Batribike. They're all standard catalogue parts, the same as the LCDs. It would be too expensive for them to make their own. Fallowgate is just an importer. I used to work with Oxygen. Oxygen had a sort of collaboration or partnership arrangement to import some bikes from the same factory as Batribike. I think the factory was Sevenstar. The bikes were terrible. The owner of Oxygen did it without consulting the rest of us. I told him not to order any more because Oxygen had a good name, which those bikes didn't live up to. This was it. They weren't handbuilt in UK, though the amount of repairs they needed before they could be sold might justify that statement:

HI saneagle, I aploogise for not getting back sooner, had problems with smartphone and am using my laptop at present. The photo you posted of the Wisper LCD display is exactly same as mine, the cable has a 6 pi connector. Thank you for your help, regards Alan Sherwood

Hi there SkyMonkey, I apologise for not getting back to you until now. The handlebar display in the YT vid is not same as mine. Mine is the Wisper SE as shown by Saneagle, it has a more rounded shape rather than rectangular. Thank you for your help, regards Alan Sherwood
