Batribike Quartz 2011. The battery won't take a charge. Charger is definitely OK as we have 2 identical bikes and tried both chargers, so how do I find out if batteries need replacing or if PCB is at fault please? Where can I get replacement or re-celled batteries please, as there is a long wait for re-celled batteries from Batribike direct. Also can the PCB be fixed as replacements not available from Batribike?

Before spending any money, you should measure the voltage on the battery terminals with a voltmeter.

Thanks. The battery normally has approx 41v after charging. On this occassion, after approx 30 miles bike ride in headwind the battery was of hardly any use for the last 5 miles, and when I got back it read at 33v. Tried to charge it but charger said fully charged (green light on) so not tried to charge it since until today. Have checked fuse and is ok and no loose connections inside battery box or sockets. An hour later after the bike ride, it was 34.3v and today, 4 days later it's 36.1v. Voltage has increased on it's own! Do you think problem is with battery or PCB? Tried to charge it again, but no luck. Our other battery charges ok from same charger.

Thanks for the help from both of you. I took the battery box to my local electrician and he found that the contacts on the charger socket were not gripping the pins when charger plug pushed in. A few tweaks and working again. What a relief!
