Bar End Tape!!!

Hi all.I dont know if anyone has had the same problem but the bar ends I have on my Freego Eagle and Marin Hybrid were very slippery when wairing ! fleese gloves and I tried lots of things to make it more grippy IE bar tape and insulating tape but no good I even bought some black stretchy elastic stuf at a boot sale in Spain which worked for a while but the I had a brain wave ?? when I had a blowout in the rear tyre (so much for my cheap moutain bike tyres !!!) what was left of the tube I cleaned of the slime in it and cut it to length sprayed some brake cleaner on it so I could get it over the bar end and when the cleaner evaperated it was a nice tight fit and very grippy and very cheap!!!.

I bought fleece gloves with grippers on from sports direct for £1.99

what it did for sweaty hands on slipy grips might also work for gloves.

They can be tight to fit but I found it easier to roll them up and unroll them over the barend/grip.

In winter I use Clarkes sports foam grips from Halfords, they fit well, keep your hands warm and don't absorb water.
I pack will make about 4 sets and you find other uses for them as well.
