Hello guys,

I have a BBS02B mid drive 36V 500W.

About a week ago, the LCD stopped working. Although I could still use the bike with the PAS, and the thumb throttle.

I troubleshooted according to some guides I found online, and I came to the conclusion it was a faulty LCD.

Last Saturday, both the PAS and thumb throttle stopped working.


I ordered a new LCD

I got a new LCD, I plugged it, turned on the bicycle and a error came up h30, there's no power coming from the PAS or thumb throttle.

The headlight does not work, the brake sensor signal does not come up when I push the brake, and the little red light on the speed sensor does not turn on.

Is the controller gone? Can I flash a 36v firmware (if so where can I find that file)?

I do have a programming cable, and a multi meter.

Sounds like the controller though worth removing the controller too check the wiring, on old models the multi sense plug used to back out or be hindered in seating by white sealant. Whether this has changed I don't know.

Check the main loom cable from the display back to the motor multi plug for water ingress or damage sounds like could be no 5v to the display when on power up does it come up bafang or is the hello knockoff

Hi guys, thanks for your replies.

The new lcd does turn on.
I contacted the motor seller and he says I have 2 options:

1 Is returning the controller to their warehouse in china where it will be fixed.
2 is buying a new controller from their store for 45 dls.

I live in the uk. When I reported the faulty lcd, they sent me a new one from china and it took 7 week days to arrive.

So I am getting the new controller for 45 dls.
