Hi everyone,

i have a pedelec with front drive, I broke the motor by going up a steep hill, the manufacturer said, it was my fault as I used it over the max weight load which was 100kgs.

i have two questions.

could I change the motor/wheel myself to a better/stronger motor? Keeping the same display/battery/black box, or would all this need to be changed also?

could the old engine be repaired, it’s making a tremendous noice, but still has the capacity to get to 25kmh?

thanks in advance

You don't mention what sort of front motor or what the rest of the electrical equipment is; you might post some details.

Could well be bearings or nylon gears which might be quite a simple repair.

When you say it still gets to 25kph; is that real under load riding, or just stationary with the wheel off the ground?

Yes you can swap the motor out for any other, depends on the motor connector and how many pins.

Repair is possible if one knows the issue, so will mean opening for inspection.

Hi, I thought I wrote the motor type in the hedder. If not then I’m not sure where to find it.
It gets to 25kmh under load
