May 17, 20178 yr Author Care to elaborate?..probably not! Of course. Basically it's a more durable and versatile model of the BBS01B. I just get excited about the little things! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
May 17, 20178 yr Author Oh ..ok thanks.for some reason i thought the bbs02 was not uk legal Other threads on here explain so I won't go into it again, but this motor is completely EAPC compatible and UK road legal, runs at 15A with a continuous 250W of power and is rated as such. May 17, 20178 yr Sounds like exactly what i need.I wonder if a uk legal version of the HD model will ever become available. I presume that would be even more durable and take a huge amount of xxxt.

I wonder whether the sheer weight of that hunk of HD motor might be somewhat counter productive to the power to weight ratio, and perhaps a slight overkill! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
May 17, 20178 yr Author Is this similar to the Em3 bbs01b, can it go to 25a ? Hi Neal, hope you're well. It is just that. If you are that way inclined and have access to private land it would be possible to do that with some advanced user experience. Used as it is intended at 15A it is simply a super hardy mid-drive EAPC motor.
May 17, 20178 yr Yes quite well thanks Darren, Your pic didn't show but assume it is 15a lasered mark as per normal.

I'll always do you a little tickle on another Lekkie Bling Ring or other bits. Although that said, those rings last so long it could be a while before you might need another. Cheers Neal Happy riding. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk I can set my BBSHD to UK legal spec using the Dillenger switcheroonie. I tried it a while back and it works perfectly , good for riding in towns etc,not that I live near any!

August 28, 20178 yr Author Is the BBS02B any better at climbing hills compared with the BBS01B (i.e. more torque) or the same? The BBS02B 36V 250W can provide more power and a notable increase in torque. In many cases the BBS01B 36V 250W is plenty powerful enough, but the BBS02B's greater ability is very useful in certain applications. Depending on programming and usage, the BBS02B can draw greater current, so battery Ah capacity and the continuous and max Amp rating of the battery/BMS to be used should be considered when purchasing. August 28, 20178 yr I've just re-read the thread, and there appear to be some misleading comments. There's no 15 amp limit to keep your motor legal. you can run whatever current you want and use it wherever you want as long as the motor is rated at 250W by the manufacturers.

Max. assist speed should be 25kph for both pas and throttle. This is normally how they come supplied. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
