Bafang 250w Vs 500w

What is the difference between
Bafang G.010.250.DC and the LG.020.500.DC
Are they different internally?

I'm thinking of getting the 250w and running 48v through it.

Bafang make those two motors differently, their 36V and 48V versions differ too.
There are trade-offs, you should buy exactly what you need and avoid using the component outside its specifications.
There are always trade off, there is no free lunch.

I love to strap a 1000w hub with a 52 volt battery on my bike and tow a bike trailer. Tomorrow I'll have my rear rack bag full. IKEA bag full of dust sheets over my shoulder plus ruck sack bag full of tools and my lunch. It's a Monday so I can add a bit more leg power on my commute to work along canal cycle path. I need power tbh. @Woosh 48v bafang rear hub is what I need I think.

I was looking at a roll of shed felt I needed to carry last week but decided against it. Too much weight on a bike. Was going to ask If others carry lots . I've seen some campers loaded up on ebike.

you don't need as much as 1000W to pull a trailer with 100kgs load. The issue is to avoid running the motor outside its sweet zone.
This Woosh Big Bear is fitted with a Bafang 36V 20A 250W BPM motor:

Over 180lbs load not inc the trailer pulled gamely by a 250w Bafang G370 1.6kg front hub motor 201rpm @44v and no throttle in sight.
This is on the Worth Way the old Three Bridges to E.Grinstead line now a traffic free bridleway.

500w /1000w will only be better if you throw more current at them and a good battery capable of 40a continuous .
