Availability of electric bike parts in the UK

Kalkhoff, I'm expect I could get a generic replacement...I'm super lucky it's just got a big scratch, not bent or broken or anything, but I guess what I'm trying to do on this thread is get folks to think about who they buy spares from. Is it the internet (do they know if it fits, or if small children are dipping metal parts into cancerous buckets of chrome, do folk care?) does their local shop carry specific spares...in all honesty Halfords don't carry OEM Kalkhoff stuff, so I'm probably looking at chinese parts..sorry kids you're breathing cancer if I do so.
