hi all at last managed to fit the kt square wave 36/48v to 350w rear hub moter kit.
I could not resolve the pas turning the moter wheel in reverse, I tried switching the phase wires over with each other but that did nothing.
in the end I turned the kt v12l pas around 180 degrees ,so splines now point outwards so now all works ok.
with 15amp controller the pas watt readout was pas1 54 2 =98 3=173 4 =228 5 =430
with the 17amp 36/48 one pas 1 = 80 2=130 3=225 4=312 5= 530
cannot notice much difference in pas 1/2/3 but you can in 4 and definitely in 5.
only real snag is my old thumbthrottle keeps sticking.
the 15 amp 6 mosfet controller got very hot, the larger 9 mosfet one 17 amp seems far cooler
I wish I had a 48v battery to try with this set up.
slightly off topic a m8 is a mechanic in local lbs which has some very nice emtbs which range from 2k-6k (I tried a 3.3k mtb on one local steep ars**** of a hill and it was easier than the ebikes I have) and today he said throw the boat out and buy one of these nice mtbs.
if I can get up some of these local hills a bit easier than at present with controller upgrade , a better battery (48v) I will be more than happy with a far more modest layout,
