This seems such a shame. People all over world would love chance to get a vaccine.
Not Macron's greatest hour.
Shame we didn't have a labour government throughout this. Wonder if we, d have had as many deaths with Corbyn leading us?

Agree about vaccine. If country may have benefitted from lack of policy, indecision and sitting on fence Corbyn might have done better.
Doubt very much any Government headed by Corbyn could have organised contracts and roll out of vaccine as well as this one... But who knows.

Let's get real.
If we had had a Labour Government they would still be squabbling over Brexit.
They would be displaying hand wringing anguish over the fact that BAME people have a higher death rate than whites and squandering our tax pounds to make Labour MPs feel better about it.
They would waste a lot of time virtue signalling and wanting to give vaccines to other countries despite the fact that those were purchased for British people. Labour hate the UK and would gladly push Britons to the back of the jab queue.
Even in good times they can bring the country close to bankruptcy, I dread to think how badly off we would be financially during the pandemic with those idiots in charge.

When I was young in the 1940-50s, Labour were a hard headed, logical pragmatic party with plenty of MPs with dirt under their finger nails.
They were striving for, housing, jobs, education and health.
They won all those battles.
Then, with very little left to achieve, the left took a wrong turning and has now become a party of over emotional softies to whom 'feelings' rather than facts are important.
Their politicians have got clean hands, they tend to be in the easier jobs, teaching, lawyers, civil service etc.
Talk about 'Champagne Socialism' we've got it.
Nowadays, the left have abandoned thinking and prefer to emote.

So to summarize, the Covid19 “vaccine”…

Does not provide immunity

Does not eliminate the virus

Does not prevent death

Does not guarantee you won’t get it

Does not stop you from passing it on to others

Does not eliminate the need for travel bans

Does not eliminate the need for business closures

Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns!!!

Does anyone have a pre-existing immunity/anti-bodies to Covid 19.?
No. It is a nouvelle virus.
Do people have anti bodies post vaccine?
Yes. Whilst not stopping them getting infected, the immune system is preprepared so the bodies reaction is less severe.
Has anyone died from covid 19 infection and associated side effects?
Yes. The current death rate is thought to be 22/1000 people infected.
Has anyone died from being immunised?
No. Whilst there are some reports of cerebral blood clots (with one death reported) the incidence rate is currently 1-2/1,000,000 people immunised, which is a lesser rate than would be expected in the general population.

There has been vaccine resistance to every vacination campaign ever mounted, often accompanied with extreme claims. Because the smallpox vaccine was derived from cowpox we were all going to turn into cattle - apparently.

We are living in an increasingly overcrowded world, making ever greater inroads, as a species, into heretofore pristine wilderness areas. The chance of there being a zoonotic transfer has never been higher. World trade patterns and travel availability makes the chance of infections spreading uncontrolably much greater.
