Are there 'gold standard' brands/manufacturers?

First bike... New motor one week. New battery three days.

Second motor on a different bike again five days. Dropped off at shop on a Monday mid morning, new motor arrived from Germany and fitted on the Friday.

So glad that I opted for a KTM.

That's unusual, I have to say we don't have anything like that level of failure on Reise and Müller bikes. Maybe you were unlucky, but it's good to read you had such good service on replacement parts. It's not our experience, I assume, as we would try to do, KTM looked after you directy then dealt with Magura.
