ARE HIGH WATT 36V BAFANG MOTORS BEING PHASED OUT?

After my abortive ebike sale I now find myself in a dilema of how
to proceed. (See my post of 23 April 2018, if you are bored)
I have had trouble locating a 36v 500w controller (CPU) and even
complete 36v/500w kits, and I'm wondering if these higher power
motors are being phased out for 36v? Many 48v units available at very low cost.

So to my dilema, I have a fried display unit and thumb throttle
and a motor which looks unfried, but untested.
I have an identical second bike,(hense the previous abortive
sale),but I am reluctant (after long deliberation with
WheeliePete) to strip this motor and use it's motor etc, to test
a CPU from BMS Battery at a cost of approx £140, because of my
lack of competence with electronics,
The safe alternative is to buy a complete kit but I cannot find a
36v 500w kit in UK or China.
An alternative is to upgrade to 48v but that will involve a new
set of LiPo batteries.(I believe this would be 4 sets of 4S
batteries, and I use 5S for my 36v motor). May be I could modify the 5S's
This may be a better long term investment, if my suspicions about 36v/high power gear is phased out.
Any thoughts?

Slightly confused by the post .

Woosh can do you a 36v 350w BPM. They put out around 600W.

Bms do the 36v 500w Cst motor

Many LCD panels are 36v or 48v compatible

What model LCD do you have now ? If you have identical bike the LCD can. just be unplugged from the working bike and plugged into the broken one. If it works then just buy an identical replacement ?

From all that, I don't see what your problem is. Just tell us what you want and we'll show you where to get it. Nothing is being phased out.

I think he's pondering his options d8veh, he's got a 36v 500w bbs02 with a blown controller, lcd and throttle. I've pointed him to BMS for replacements as it's the only place I could find that listed the 500w controller. Do you know any others? I've also offered to test run his motor for the cost of postage.

Ahh, got it.

I think maybe Brighton ebikes and Woosh both stock 36v bbs02 and their associated parts

Edit

They do http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit

I don't think the 36v 500w is a very common unit. Most resellers do the 36v 250/350w and the 48v 500/750w, but worth asking both of them.

Thanks Spanos
If 350w motor puts out 600w, what do 500w put out
Cannot find 500w motor from BMS
Swapped LCD's around and first one is fried, but if I buy the replacement parts and motor is fried, that's £140 down the grid

500w puts out about 900w peak power, amps x volts. Brian, my offer still stands to test run your motor, it's only gonna cost you around £15 in postage. If all OK, you can buy the new parts without any worries.:D

Thanks Pete, I think that's the wisest way. 45v batteries are ridiculous cost
I'll get the postage under way
