It depends which BPM, how much current and what voltage you run it at. Obviously, if you have a 48v and 30A, it'll beat the Xiongda with 36v and 15A, but the Xiongda at 20A will match a Woosh Big Bear kit for torque and speed. It does 20 mph on the road, or 24 mph if you use 12S lipos on a 36v one. The code 15 BPM only does 15 mph, but the code 10 does about 25 mph unless you over-volt them too. The BPM I used for Allen-UK's bike was quite nice. It was a code 14 48v version that did about 24 mph and had a lot of torque at 23A.I found the xiongda is not faster nor more torquey than the BPM, just lighter.
In the end, all the different motors have advantages and disadvantages. The BBS crank-drives are good if you have enough fitness to pedal fast. The powerful geared hub-motors are good if you get tired easily. The Xiongda is somewhere half-way between them.
I like them all. It's great fun to keep rebuilding your bike with the different motors, but they're all OK, so you don't lose anything if you stick to the same one.
