50cycles can carry out a check on the status of this bike for a prospective purchaser once the identity of the original lady owner is revealed by the seller. They will not supply a replacement charger without that information.

My guiding rule is that any advert that has such shocking levels of spelling and literacy should be treated with suspicion. Plus the lack of battery charger virtually shouts out that it is stolen.

It certainly has all the hallmarks of a stolen bike, especially since the seller has zero feedback and only opened his ebay account recently.

Or maybe Jim did receive the bike in part payment for some work, from a lady who had lost the charger to her nearly new £1500 bike. It's easily done. And, Jim may have only just discovered ebay, hence the zero feedback. I think that sometimes, we are too quick to judge.

well some people are bidding on it ....... assume they have asked if he has the keys and also what the frame number is ?....then check it out with 50 cycles.....or maybe they dont know that can be done....
looks too good be true ...but i get more cynical as i age....... could be a real bargain if ok !!!!!

Well - I've asked about the keys and the original owner. Let's see if I get a reply. I already have a charger ..... lol

Fatts,

If you are not a police officer, this is the sort of reply you are likely to get from ebay:
Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to report a seller who you suspect is
offering stolen goods on eBay.

The sale of stolen goods is forbidden on eBay because it's against the
law to sell stolen property. eBay strongly supports law enforcement
efforts to recover stolen property listed on its website. However, we
can only investigate such a serious allegation if it comes from the
police.

If you believe that an item on eBay may be a stolen item, please inform
your local police and ask them to get in touch with us. The
investigating officer can then use the contact details provided in our
Safety Centre:

eBay UK: eBay Safety Centre: Law Enforcement

We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking a moment to
express your concern to us. Thank you for helping to keep eBay a safe,
fun place to shop.

Pretty much the usual nonsense from ebay - make it just difficult enough to report things that many people won't be bothered, and yet give the appearance of being willing to do something.

But, sadly, not as bad as the nonsense you'll get from the Police if you try and get them involved - in my experience.

Well, the police might have Googled 07731329268 and discovered quite a few ads for Jim on that number, selling/buying cars, plus the Kalkhoff, so either he's an absolute idiot, or if a thief then one of the more blatant ones, or (just possible!) a minor wheeler/dealer.
