Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experience converting bikes with the mid motor ekits.

Anywhere within London, I'm based South West London.

problem is near all local bike shops wont touch these things with a barge poll as dont want the liability.

worst case £100 white van man postage tho not looked for a while what they charge now.

Gum tree. Shpock. Next door website etc you may find builders. Some sell bikes as well
One suspects most will be illegal with overpowered / wrong rated motors , plus a stand alone throttle that works independantly.

The plod are more and more catching on to thes eillegal bikes and more are being removed from the road. It's not hard to notice them riding about with ease with little or no rider input .

Woosh bikes in Southend is your nearest best option to fit any kit to a bike , just a case of getting there . Not to far for a chuff chuff ride out to them.

It's not exactly difficult to do it yourself. Why pay someone else?
Agreed. It may be a bit daunting when you don't know what to expect, but if you are used to regular bike maintenance it is very straightforward.

If you buy a complete kit from the likes of Woosh you don't need any real knowledge of the electrical detail. Make sure with them before you buy what kit appropriate. Send pictures of the bike so they can warn of any possible incompatibilities or extra details (eg not room for that battery in that frame, those forks not suitable for front hub conversion, brazings for cable runs under the bottom bracket may complicate mid-motor mount).
