Juicy Bike Purchase
Hi Ben Hi Allen
Juicy Bike is essentially local to hilly Buxton in Derbyshire. We have attempted to bring other retailers to our range, however our mark-up is relatively low compared to the main stream e-bikes, so retailers prefer the profits associated with sales of better known makes.
We do benefit in Buxton, from being a popular destination and many, many tourists try electric bikes for the first time when they come accross our shop
eco republic
This often means that our customers try our e-bikes first, then do their comparison shopping when they get home and often finally purchase ours.
This develops a number of "clusters" of Juicy Bike owners around the country as friends and colleagues try our new owners' bikes.
It's very interesting to see the business develop in this way, but frustrating for potential customers that would like to try our bikes locally. It's difficult for us too, of course as no retailer likes to loose a sale!
We spend very little on advertising and marketing and prefer instead to keep our prices reasonable. And, we are determined to grow at a pace we can properly manage in terms of availability, but more importantly quality. Quality is our priority number 1, at the expense of growing more rapidly. We have learned this simple lesson!
As with everything that we develop, after the new 14AH Sport batteries arrive with us on 10th June we will be testing them thoroughly, selling locally first, then more widely after we are totally happy with the quality.
The 14AH battery will retail for £349 and the 14AH version of the Sport will be offered for £865 in our shop and (eventually) £845 on the web.
I hope this helps with any confusion. As for contacting us: during the day our shop phone is 01298 214040, and is well attended. The second best way is via email:
uksales@juicybike.com
From time to time I do visit the Pedelecs Forums as there is so much useful info and wide experience here. But generally contact is better via email.
Best regards,
Bob Wales
