Bosch defo won't be having a uk service centre. So we will be investing in stock and training to ensure we can look after ktm dealers and customers directly.

They seem to think they can handle te whole of Europe from Germany
. We will see....

Bad news that from Bosch... Thanks for the update. What does Yamaha do then differently for UK seeing how they now do crank motors and trying to compete with Bosch.

Well it's not really bad news, it's just news. The only differenceis a bit if time. Good dealers have stock of spares, we will just be another option for dealers to get bits from a bit quicker than Germany.Won't make a huge amount of differenceto end level users really

Thanks Martin, very interesting collection there. I noticed Haibike as well Flyer shielding the front of the Bosh unit now, experience of the mud getting in problem perhaps?

very cool...but - weirdly - bolted on aftermarket motors can be attractive (in a mechanical kind of way) and seamless designs (like the bosch)a bit too "designed" looking..

Hi Flecc,

Sorry for my late reply, only just spotted this mid post.
Its likely just to give more piece of mind for the customers.
The later Bosch performance motor is completely sealed.

Still I quite like the design, think it looks neat and very integrated.

I agree very neat, the crank units are definitely improving in this respect, rather than just being wrapped around with lots of awkward plastic cowling.
