Thanks, that's getting closer. I've read but cannot confirm that they use Panasonic 18650 Battery 3200mAh 3.7V Li-ion 10A 3.6V Rechargeable cells (NCR18650BD).

Hmmn, yes, tried that once in the old days when one used to hold the electrical cables for power tools into plug holes with matchsticks.240v DC would kill you if you touched it. It's not the sort of thing you should be messing about with unless you know about the safety precautions.
