Staff at halfords said the tape on the rim is not tubeless tape and they dont stock it anyway..
so tube back in for now..

halfords dont have a clue rim tape is rim tape lol and why have tl tyres on it if the rims are not tl ready as well.

TL rim tape has adhesive backing so if it is stuck fast then its TL ready as SW say's ignore Halfrauds.

just get one for a quid and get a bit of pipe and use the above adaptor to put the sealant in.

you have to remove the valve core tho.

Tape is not stuck to rim. It is easy to peel it aside and see the spoke holes where there is a deepish recess down the spokes . So I will need to take that off and replace with the sticky stuff. Seen youtube vids how to do it and it looks easy enough..

Just checked bike specs and rims are not tl ready. So will forget that idea..

no there not the same but i cant find any info on them rims.

if you tape them up you should still get a seal tho but might find high and low psi causes problems with the tyre staying on the rim.

prob best stick with tubes then ;(

Best bet is a couple of slime tubes.. did ok on other bike.. 900 miles and no flats. This one 50 miles and one flat.. so far....

even tho my rims are tl ready i can still rip them off the rim if the psi is to low on the rear going round corners.

tho not had a problem since i put the sg tire on the rear with lot thicker side walls.

These tyres were really hard to get on and off and when I blew them up there were 3 loud cracks as it popped into place

yes that is the same but say 29inc wheel but i think it will fit 26 and 27.5 just check first b4 you buy it.

just i have never used it as i have no spokes in side my rims.
