Staff at halfords said the tape on the rim is not tubeless tape and they dont stock it anyway..

Tape is not stuck to rim. It is easy to peel it aside and see the spoke holes where there is a deepish recess down the spokes . So I will need to take that off and replace with the sticky stuff. Seen youtube vids how to do it and it looks easy enough..TL rim tape has adhesive backing so if it is stuck fast then its TL ready as SW say's ignore Halfrauds.
Best bet is a couple of slime tubes.. did ok on other bike.. 900 miles and no flats. This one 50 miles and one flat.. so far....no there not the same but i cant find any info on them rims.
if you tape them up you should still get a seal tho but might find high and low psi causes problems with the tyre staying on the rim.
prob best stick with tubes then ;(
