Got one today second in a month. Tyre was slimed and a green spray was coming out of tire. However slime did its job and after pumping back up managed to ride six miles home. Lesson learnt and marathon pluses now on order

i use the roads, the river lea towpaths, I often take the thames path from woolwich to erith which turns into some fairly sketchy dirt and gravel track at times. if you are familiar with east london you'll know of the greenway, which i use a lot.
I run the usual minefield of broken bottles and dried brambles.
I 've also gone across a carpet grip which some lowlife deliberatley placed in the cycle lane at ilford, this incident alone turned me into a schwalbe evangelist.

go tubeless would be the best option as i find the non sg tyres thin as hell and dont even need tyre levers to get them on.

tho it took me an hour to get my sg tyre on the rear.
