Taken under the guise of a TUE the questions will be continually raised as with Wiggins. Obviously he was clear all the way thru TDF maybe his success is rubbing someone up the wrong way or is it just out to get at Team Sky ?
I myself have yet to be tested :D.

I might have thought possibly cheating, until I recently listened to a medical program about asthma in sports people.

It appears the incidence of asthma in the whole population is 9% affected, but in sports people it's typically 25% or more.

Apparently the increase over the norm is due to the high breathing rates during intense sport activity. The air entering the lungs is referred to as unfiltered since it hasn't been moistened in rapid internal transit and the dryness irritates the membranes. That's exacerbated by dust particles that haven't been deposited by nasal fitration before reaching the lungs.

The combination can bring about chronic asthma over time, needing regular use of inhalers. Athletes need to be careful not to exceed the drug induction level prior to an event, but that's difficult since the necessary doses and the mandatory sport limit are often quite close.

Froome as you will have heard approves the investigation and is giving his support to it.

Froome or any one in is position has no choice but to agree whole heartedly by giving their support any slight wavering and they will be jumped upon from a great height by the media and doubters.

Heard the same program. My feeling on the matter is, with the money involved, the sponsors/teams, could afford/made to pay for independent "doctors" to be with the teams at all times to witness all medication being administered during races, that would clear up medication in unmarked brown envelope syndrome, it is not beyond the bounds of possibility.

Not much love for Mr Froome is there ? Next year team SKY could be team "Mickey Mouse".

OK so let's legalise Ventolin or Salbutamol or whatever you want to call it. Indurain was asthmatic, I am asthmatic but I won't be winning the Tour de France any time soon despite my Ventolin...

If a racer overdoses and dies it doesn't make for good television. If a racer changes his blood after a stage and wins (yes I am looking at you Lance..) does it make good television? Good influence on youth getting into sports?

I am so tired of drugs in sports and cycling is right up there at the summit of performance enhancing junkies...:(

I feel sorry for genuine asthmatics.
My late wife suffered for years, and when a person is having an attack they can get panicky and take too much (as far as sport is concerned) but the main target during an attack is to restore normality.
I had a stomach ulcer and during an attack would munch my way through Rennies and drink milk not counting anything.

Personally I don't care what they do, sport is just a branch of show business and they're primarily there to entertain.

And entertainers use whatever deceit is necessary to do that. No magician ever performed any actual magic, but we don't ban them.

Seems there is more to this episode than meets the eye...apparently Mrs Wiggins has described Froome as a " slithering reptile" and feels Mr Wiggins was made scapegoat for activities they are all involved with.

When I lived on Spanish border near Girona it was common knowledge cyclists lived in region for 2 reasons. Access to wonderful hills ; training conditions and access to Spanish medics with rather more relaxed views to drug laws. Have times changed ??

She's deleted that post and apologised as follows:

"Sorry everyone for my emotional comments and insults. Too much stress has got the better of me. Heat of the moment things and certainly not my intent to fan any flames."

It's a non story, part of an ongoing feud between the two wives, dating back to a mention of the permission Wiggins had to use another drug while racing.

Some magicians just do tricks, but others do actual magic. Next, you'll be telling us there's no father Christmas, but there is. I've seen him.
Oh ,yeah?
Once set a father Christmas trap, it went of, accompanied by much cursing!, What was in the trap, didn't look like father Christmas at all!!!!

It gets worse than that. Bear Grylls isn’t even a bear, it’s actually a man with asthma. We’re all being conned by these glitzy, fake, showbiz asthmatic imposters.
