I am wondering if anybody can recommend an alternative to Lekkie chainrings.

They are good but expensive, there seem to be numerous on alternatives on AliExpress and Amazon.

Thanks for reading.

@egroover bought an inexpnsive Lekkie copy in the year 2021, said it worked fine. He might still be using it.

Well remembered @guerney . I'm on my 2nd one now, the first lasted about 4k miles before I experience chain suck when replacing the chain and cassette ( https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/chain-flapping-noise-after-new-drivetrain-installed-any-ideas.46762/post-706221 )
I've opted to not use a gear sensor on my BBS01 so if you do use one you can probably expect the Aliexpress chainrings to last more than the 4k miles mine did.
I suspect the Lekkie chainrings are better heat treated alloy so will last longer, but at 3 times the price you'd expect that.

I'm happy to shell out £20 every 4k miles for a new one, although am using the stock Bafang 44t steel chainwheel included in the kit on my latest conversion (MTB) and am getting great chainline with that, so will see how that goes, but being steel, it'll probably last forever
