Hi guys whilst out riding my forks broke on one of the dropouts so i'm looking to replace them ,not so easy as i thought to buy some suitable for use with a e-bike (8fun motor )anyone have any suggestions ? I have a spare set in the garage but they only give about a 1mm clearance at th widest point of the motor would it be safe enough to use some washers to increase the clearance ?
Any help or advise would be appreciated

Ade,

What were you doing when it broke ?

Are they steel or Aluminum ?

It is often necessary to use washers to space the forks. The gap can be close. I think My Brompton is about a business card gap (1-2mm) between the fork side and the motor housing.

Here is another build that uses machined plastic (drenalin) spacers that were required to clear the leading links both sides on the front suspension of my Moulton . Neater than washes but washers do the trick just as well. Use stainless ones as they won't rust.

Regards

Jerry

The GS uses Zoom forks I think, if you have a search on Ebay or Google you may be able to find a direct replacement set.

Ade....we should have spare forks for every Kudos bike in stock...suggest you glance at the photos on our website then seek a price under spares for that particular bike...Zoom is a very popular brand from chinese suppliers but they make lots of different quality levels
