Aggatu tyre size?

Quick query before I head off to the bike shop only to find that they don't stock my tyre size. What size Marathon Pluses would I need for my Aggatu? I'd like to phone them first rather than waste a journey!

I put Marathon Original 700 X 40 on my Agattu - they are more or less identical in width to the original Continentals. You could try 700 X 35 if you want a slightly thinner tyre. Hope that helps.

Thanks Citrus -that's helpful. The shop only has 700-35 tyres - are these significantly different from 700-40's? As a novice, it is all numbers to me!

This is your nearest, the widest they make 700 x 38C

The cheapest for these is usually All Terrain Bikes

So, are you saying that the 700-35s are inappropriate and I should go for at least 700-38s?

These MPs are all a bit smaller than the standard tyres on most electric bikes like the Kalkhoffs and eZee models, and the nearest to the standard ones is that 700 x 38C, it's only a bit narrower. As the tyres get narrower, the recommended pressures rise, so the 35 would be harder and more uncomfortable.
