Hi, yes I have the keys. Nothing comes on, not even the display. It's for all the bikes not just one. I know the battery is charged fully as the red light on the (transformer?) turned to green after 4 hours. The positive and negative markings match up to the bike, the only thing that not 100% is the battery has 4 slots and the bike has 2 prongs but the battery company said this was fine. Any ideas?
You need to somehow get the battery voltage checked, using a reasonable accurate DC Voltmeter, as this is sadly, often the problem in such cases, and a meter is the only way to get true facts.....
My guess is that the batteries were not correctly maintained for a long time, 3 or more months.....
Were you not allowed to have a test ride on each bike? If so, the seller is IMHO technically responsible for the fix!!
Best of luck.
Andy

Hello!

It's a good day today as the bike works a treat. The problem was the + and - plate was on the wrong way round. I unscrewed the box under the prongs and could see the red and black wires to determine that red was positive and black negative so turned it 180 degrees and everything fired up. So there's nothing wrong with the battery or the bike and as a first timer of e-bikes, this Bearprint bike is really impressive especially as it has a throttle so I don't even need to move my legs!

Thank you to everyone who has replied, much appreciated. I'll keep the voltage checker when it arrives as I'm sure it will come in handy at some point.

Bring on the sunshine! :)

You were one lucky lady that the mis connection the fist time round didn't cause an incorrect polarity contact and cause damage and more so the second time as the battery could have been wrongly connected internally without a meter to double check. The plate was likely correct for the original supply of batteries and the newer ones may have had the pins reversed.
You could say luck braved the fortunate in this case but not always the case with dc voltage.

Well, you are the lucky one , a reversed polarity battery can cause real harm . I hope you have a happy time with your bikes, and no doubt you now have found the E-bike grin...:):):)
