Stamped 350w, it isn't; however, the 350w and 250w are identical apart from the marking, so you might be able to argue that it is legal as long as you set the current to 15 amps and the speed to 15.5 mph. The other way round, if you took the 15amp 250w BBS01 and set the current to 18 amps, it would be the same as the 350w one but legal.

One guy took a 500w BBS02 and swapped the motor and it's housing from one main drive and casing to the other along with the controllers, so he had the 250w markings on the motor. The casing with the markings on is the same part on all versions of the BBS01 and 02. Basically there are mainly 4 versions with two different controllers, each with two different settings, and two different motors. One motor is wider than the other and has thicker wire.

Thanks vfr400, but seller has sorted the info now. Motors are stamped 350w. They were apparently misinformed. I'll leave it at that.

FYI. I actually edited the post before I saw the reply. VFR400 was probably replying at the time, as he does spend most of his time on here and was quick off the mark. I also did thank him for his reply none the less.

Second. The post was about a business that I have now contacted and the issues described in the post was a genuine error on their part and they have amended their description and information. Therefore in the interest of fairness I cannot and will not allow what I published in the post to be shown. I believe I have the right to remove anything that I have typed in haste/error. Hope you all understand.

Here's the story as I remember it. OP gave a link to the Ebay ad below asking if 350w was legal in the UK because he said he had seen an ad that stated that it was legal. The amended ad is here:
He now seems to be saying that he asked the seller about the statement in their ad regarding legality, and the seller has since removed that statement. Personally, I don't see that as a reason to delete anything, as the question about the legality of BBS01 versions hasn't changed, and it's independent of what anybody says in their Ebay ad.

I was deleting it to protect the seller, as it was a genuine mistake on their part that they amended. However if you want to re add the link as you have done then what can I do about it.

What is there to protect? The guy made a mistake and corrected it! Now he gets a bit of free advertising for being such a considerate and ethical seller.

Must be rubbish on the telly ATM .....
Who has a telly these days? All you get is propaganda in just about every programme. It's now even found its way into football and David Attenborough's wild life programmes.

I can categorically say that I haven't seen any TV since last Xmas, and that was only because I was staying at someone else's house where they had it on all the time. Once you see how they work, it's easy to show how they get their biased politics agenda into nearly every programme and how every random person they interview on the street is actually a selected political activist. I was therefore able to enlighten the highly intelligent TV owner, who was very skeptical at first, and she had been oblivious to it, but I heard last week from her that she's just cancelled her licence in disgust at it too.

It reminds me of when I went on an excellent customer satisfaction training course, where they trained you what good and bad treatment of customers is. The problem was that it was too good, and I started to recognise bad treatment of customers (me) everywhere. Previously, I had been oblivious to it.
