I spent a glorious weekend in the Black Mountains, South Wales recently, doing nothing but ebiking, I based myself in Crickhowell, here's some photos of the trip....

So it starts with a tranquil rural scene, with strange wild animals with a white fluffy coat to them, more about them later.

Alot of tracks looked like this, this was actually quite steep, but as usual iPhone photos flatten the perspective and the quality is not the best

There's always time for a quick refreshment stop

The Welsh know how to hide important features of their landscape well

The usual weapon of choice

Lovely looking lane

Gets a bit narrow, nettle stings galore

Crosses another bridge

Gets a bit wider

Opens up completely, then I have to negotiate my way past scary wild animals

Time to press on

Lovely views

But then the path completely disappears in shoulder height ferns!

After crashing through that lot, it was time to take break

On the road again and narrowly missed an attack by the local wildebeast

Not enough smooth tarmac

Then it seemed the locals have been defending themselves

This one defeated electric power

So steep, even the non-electrics were defeated

Great photos of wonderful countryside Tim, thanks for sharing them. As you say, photos always flatten those gradients, but I can work out how steep they were from experience. Still, you definitely had the ideal e-bike for that territory, I doubt there's a better legal one for tackling it.

Looks like a terrific ride Tim, thanks for posting the pictures.
I love my PC-S but owning a bike that can tackle the toughest trails and take you just about anywhere is a very tempting prospect.
