To be fair it says £1195+

The plus sign indicating that was the introductory price that would increase. They could hardly be expected to keep the prices on all of their published accounts up to date for all bikes, surely the potential customer's job to check that out.

I relaise that you're a Gazelle fan.

I don't think it reasonabvle for A to B to go through everything and update the prices though. They'd have to go to every source and check every price on a constant basis, out of the question for a tiny one man outfit which is always under pressure of time. Clearly it's a potential customers job to check the very latest situation on anything they are thinking of buying, and since they will have to know the price to buy something anyway, it's not unfair to the competition.

Probably because they rate the Kalkhoff as top bike now, as I do.

The Gazelle has some nice style features, but at £1599 compared to the current £1325 for the Kalkhoff Agattu, it simply doesn't deliver £274 worth more in terms of what it does. For nearly all customers the price is part of the purchase decision.

There are cases where the Gazelle would be the better choice though. For a bike being bought for two people of different stature to ride, the quick adjust feature would be invaluable. And for someone to whom the money didn't matter, the style features of the Gazelle could win the day.

A2B are notoriously bias and fickle and always hate anything new that isnt a brompton or a LaFree (now swapped for Agattus). This is the genius of the magazine, if they actually like something you know its good!

Thats why A2B's gushing Agattu review had such a big impact (made me buy it). Its also why i'm itching to try out a Bike Friday Tikit, because that was the most favourable review of a folder i've ever seen in A2B.

I agree about the bias, but it's all about the title, being able to travel from A to B reliably. They like the eZee bikes and use a Sprint for many towing duties, but they don't like the battery problems that came with it. They quite like the Heinzmann, but don't like the short range.

It's mainly the bikes using the Panasonic unit which have good range and long term reliability, so that's why their high regard for the Lafree, Agattu and Gazelle.

With folders, only one has been practical, light and small enough to conveniently use anywhere on any public transport in the way they do as a family, and that's the Brompton.

But as you say, they've shown an open mind with the Tikit, and they've also done that with the Sparta Ion M-gear which doesn't use a Panasonic unit. So it's up to the manufacturers, when they come up with something that does the A to B job properly, they should have nothing to fear from A to B.

A to B does reference Wisper on their supplier list, but have not done a review as Wisper has not yet asked them to! We've all suggested to David that it would be a good idea and believe it is in the pipeline!

They are willing to test the Wisper or any submitted bike that looks worthwhile. I can fully appreciate David Miall of Wisper holding back until the completed spec of the 905se was in place though, it would have been foolish not to.

Down to you then David; I'm hoping for a glowing review in A to B magazine, lots of good PR and loads of Wisper's sold, meaning WEVCO will survive to supply me with spare parts and help for years and years and years

A to Z

We desperately want A to Z to test the bike for us but unfortunately we are out of 905's again until the end of June.

We have stepped up our production orders now, so we are hoping to have enough stock to actually start our sales campaign. The only advertising we participate in currently is here on Pedelecs!

The problem is that one person buys a 905 and shows it to their friends then a couple of friends buy them and we have a chain reaction! (I'm not complaining!)

As soon as a container arrives that is not pre-sold we will get one over to David for his comments.
