Only a 3D image for the moment but to be distributed by Babboe I love the steampunk headlight in the door!
A question for our legal experts - there is a seat, what is the law on carrying a passenger? I know that children get carried in cargo bikes but have never seen an adult in a cargo bike.

Perfectly legal in the UK if the bike is, to use the Road Traffic Act terms:

‘constructed or adapted for the carriage of more than one person’

If not so constructed or adapted a section 24 offence is committed with a maximum penalty of £200 fine.

I would expect the laws in mainland Europe to be at least as liberal and possibly more so. For example in The Netherlands children and adults are carried in all sorts of ways, often wildly eccentric as the YouTube video on this link shows from 1 minute onwards.

Also this post of mine often showing multiple kids being carried there.

To be shown in all schools in Australia! :)

There is a Danish company that makes a rickshaw clone on the base of a cargo bike so your reply was my interpretation of what is allowed here.

It is the ideal vehicle for Thursday night Basque bar crawls  It won't even fall over on its own

Trailers are fine for going shopping but being able to have a lockable cover on the cargo space and an all in one solution attracts me. There is no reason you can't have a convertible hood for passenger weather protection too.

I am more and more drawn to this concept as the definitive car replacement.

I've just added lockable underseat storage too ours and using an old oppie canvas cover has a rain cover that comes up to where y son sits, as he hates having the tent type canopy up.

Certainly the best bike I have owned, Great where we live when you get stuck in the traffic getting on and off the island if it's busy or an accident happens, we have a cycle path straight off into the next town then links to Portsmouth and Chichester (though West Sussex CC need to catch up on segregation).
