A bit tight...

On Sustrans 4 I came across this rather silly barrier. My handlebars are literally touching both sides.




Maybe they are to stop full size motorbikes getting through - but mine is just an ordinary ebike.

At the other end of this path, the chromed plates appear to have been removed.

I find these sort of things annoying. I came across a man in a power chair last year who could not get past the deliberate obstruction.
Will trikes get through?

It's stainless steel. You can make some nice brackets out of big sheets like that.

Someone's already had the ones from the other end for just that purpose-nice,shiney Now where did I put those 1mm cutting discs!

There is a place on the EU veloroute n°1 where I have to dismount and lift over. Imagine a trike with full paniers and a trailer Will a bike trailer get through? Trikes are in general 85 cm wide which which makes them just a bit larger than mountain bike bars.
