Just taken possession of a 706 Alpino 2011 (second hand). Delighted with it so far. Small but insurmountable problem to date: cannot get lights to work as they should (according to the manual). Can I be cheeky and request a wiring diagram for this cycle so I can attempt to resolve this myself?

On a curiosity only basis. When I switch on the display unit I first get 2 numbers, one at top - 27 I think, the second is either 20something thousand or possibly 2something thousand with a decimal point and tenths. Can't be sure as it disappears so quick. What do these numbers mean? Should I be worried or pleased for instance.....

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you shemozzle999. I had already got a copy of the manual which I have read from cover to cover to familiarise myself with the functions etc. I am still hoping to access a more technical manual, if such exists; specifically a wiring diagram to try and isolate the problem I am having with getting the lights to work.

Hi jacky.
If you contact WISPER SUPPORT they will be able to help you, phone is 07799794520 or e mail support@wisperbikes.com.
I have a 706 and the lights are very flimsy the wiring and clips can come loose when you put the bike on the stand, as the handle bars turn with no weight on the wheel, maybe you should check the wire near to the connectors to see if its damaged or just splice a longer piece of wire in.

The numbers you refer to are the total distance since last reset. Therefore could be total mileage if it has never been reset.

Hi JC, the is the 27 actually 28? It is the wheel size.

I am not certain of the model you have but it probably has lights that are automatic and will come on when it gets dark as long as they are turned on at the LCD.

Enjoy!!

All the best
