I am trying to fit a 36v back of the seat Battery where there used to be a 24v. Battery. Unfortunately they are different heights so the Locking hole doesn't match. Any ideas?

I changed a 24v bike to 36v, had to remove the 24v battery & mounting, then fit the new 36v battery and matching mounting.

Normally, replacement batteries come with a new aluminium strip and base to match the battery. Did you buy a used battery?

Looking at your picture, the slide rail is too short. Is that the new rail or the old one?
Second question, did the old battery lock right through into the frame or only into the slide rail? Mine only reaches the slide rail hole.

Thats the old Slide Rail, and the old battery locked into the Frame. It came with the bike but 24v just didn't go very far. I can adjust the Slide rail, it may not be fixed at the bottom but the Battery will hold it in place. It's getting it locked at the top.

You will probably find that either the slide rail is bolted or fits into a moulding at the bottom.
You need a longer slide rail and drill a hold for the lock bolt. You may have to cut the top off the frame lug to get enough clearance for the battery slide bolt.

If it is a silverfish battery a mounting kit can be bought separately. other wise use a velcro strap to keep it form moving about.
