It looks like a small framed, Panasonic crank driven Agattu which came with the 26" wheels. All the larger Agattus had 700C wheels. The hydraulic brakes are a mystery unless retro fitted, I think only the Tasman has Magura brakes on that era of bike. It's probably not worth much more than £300, so the ebay price is about right at this time.

I think the 30 mph claim is a red herring, more likely 30 miles range.

I've been on the lookout for an Agattu step through with an 18ah battery for a while, so I can take one of my kids out with me on longer/hillier rides.

Decided to go for this and finally took delivery yesterday.

I think the bike is a 2011 model as it has the later gearing of 11t motor sprocket and 18t rear wheel sprocket.

I was a bit concerned when it arrived with no charge in the battery but it charged overnight fine and shows 5 lights on the push button capacity test.

The bike has a few scrapes from storage but looks to have been ridden very little. I managed a quick 15 minute ride today before the rain came and all seems fine.

I will report back when I get some proper mileage on it to see how it compares to my Pro Connect.

Did the 2011 motor have an 11 tooth motor sprocket fitted as standard? The earlier motors had a 9 tooth sprocket.

Earlier this year, my original (2008) motor failed and I replaced it with the 2011 version. I transferred my 9 tooth sprocket from the old motor onto the new one and it dropped the cutoff speed to about 12 mph. Fitting an 11 tooth sprocket restored the cut off back to 15 mph.

I thought that I may have a slightly faulty replacement motor, (I bought it cheap, no returns) but if it should have been fitted with an 11 tooth motor sprocket, perhaps all is well after all. It certainly performs very well.

Hi Tilson, the change to a 11t sprocket was probably due to the 9t cog causing some drive problems on a few of these exceptionally reliable motors.

I put the bike through it's paces today with a nice varied 20 mile ride.
This was my first decent ride on a step through and was very pleased to find the usual assured Kalkhoff ride.

The bike is 2 kg heavier than my sporty Pro Connect due to the Nexus gears and heavier frame and I think it may be the XXL version as it has strong 36 spoke wheels.

As the battery also performed well, it seems a very good purchase.
Having two 18ah batteries means I can also look forward to some long distance solo rides too.

The 11 tooth sprocket being a standard item for the later motor makes sense then.

I'm pleased the Agattu has turned out well for you and it sounds like you got a bargain. I owned one briefly and thought it was a nice bike. It was more comfortable than the Pro Connect, but not as well suited to commuting.
