We had quite a lot of sun here today in Alora......looks like it HAS settled.......must remember to take my snow stud tyres off the Tonarowe had some snow this morning in south london.....did not settle thank God!
Can you send them up to me for my Tonaro? I was out on the C2C (Waskerley Way) yesterday and I hadn't cottoned on to the fact that as it was over 1000ft above sea level the snow and ice wouldn't have thawed on the sheltered track - I definitely slithered about a lot and gave up at Waskerley and came back down ( and that was fun as well!) passing a few hardy souls heading up on their bikes. We had quite a lot of sun here today in Alora......looks like it HAS settled.......must remember to take my snow stud tyres off the Tonaro

Thanks for the link Willin'.....it looks lovely....but I can well imagine what a hairy ride you had there today !Here's a lovely little guide to the route (and some videos) - it's probably my favourite ride out (but not when it's snowing!).

Thanks Andy! I know what you mean, cars were sliding everywhere round here this morning and I just gracefully flew by. Although when on my feet walking the dog I was almost on my bum more than my feet! That looks very neat Mark. The all black colour scheme and spikes have the beginnings of a Mad Max tribute bike
I've just been out on my pro-connect newly shod with marathon winter studded tyres. It really is uncanny being able to ride safely over sheet ice. I'm not sure if it's my imagination, but the tyres seem to be quieter over ice than tarmac. The only thing I have to watch out for is when I come to a stop and want to put a foot down, I could do with some spike shoes then.
