You need to practice imagining then. Start with simple things, like imagining what you would do with the money if you won the lottery. If you practice a couple of hours a day, you should soon be able to work up to difficult things, like imagining that politicians care about your interests.
Help, help, I am being oppressed. I am not used to penetrating wit this early. Penetration is usually much later in the day!

I can't imagine there would be much Chinese content in a German product without a lot of quality control checking.
16mph will be enough for me now. It' she distance that is more important that the speed. So it all comes down to length does matter.
it's the global world right now, China's manufacturing is improving so quickly that it's difficult to tell where the stuff is really made. Almost all the frames used by Derby Cycles are bought in (a lot made in China or Taiwan). Batteries are made by Samsung and Bosch make lots of motors in China. I would not be surprised if the controller inside the motor is also made in China, they are the world's biggest PCB makers. About spending your money while supporting jobs in the UK, perversely, if you buy a Chinese bike (or kit), a bigger percentage of the proceed goes to pay design, transport, quality control and support in this country compared to buying German bikes.
Generally speaking, you still get to have your cake and eat it if you were to go for a conversion, a quality bike that meets all your needs for about £600 on top of a donor bike.

Hi Templogin,

If it is distance and hub gears that you want, check out the eZee Sprint 8 and Sprint Primo on our website http://cyclezee.com/
Both models are available with large capacity batteries, up to 28Ah.

Yes they are manufactured in China, but they also have some German content along with Japanese, Taiwanese, American, but this doesn't detract from their desirability or performance.

Oh, and before I get inundated with enquiries about the 'German' content, it's the Schwalbe tyres although they are actually manufactured in Indonesia.

Had to delay doing this due to my fiver year old laptop going into its death throes. Thanks a lot for the advice though.

Is that a year-old laptop that cost you a fiver? Sounds cheap, but if it's broken already...

The latest 50Cycles sales email says that certain models are going up in price and that

"Price rises may affect other models as stock levels diminish as Summer progresses"

Is this an industry standard thing, models not increasing in price may increase in price, or is there something here that I am not seeing?

Do electric bikes get cheaper in winter as demand falls?

Should I lube up?
