2015 KTM Ventura Cross 9 (Shimano Steps) images released

We're pretty happy we're one of the few brands to be able to offer this system in decent numbers for 2015.

First build is scheduled to be with dealers very early in January.

2015 KTM Ventura Cross 9

£1599.99 RRP

We honestly believe this second generation drive by Shimano could be a real game changer for eBikes in the UK. Not only because of the STEPs system is a great product, but more importantly.....Shimano are huge, and a brand that the whole UK cycle industry trusts.

Having this brand involved in eBikes in the UK with their marketing power and reputation, combined with the KTM build quality and pricing means we think think this could be a great product. Bringing real quality brands and components into the sub £1600.00 price point.

"and yes we appreciate this is basically an advert - but it appears that this is allowed now. We'd much prefer a level playing field, where no brands / shops are allowed to advertise in this or if we're honest any section of the forum, because we feel it devalues the purpose and independent nature of this forum. So hopefully this and the other "adverts" that have appeared over the last couple of weeks will all be deleted".

I have a friend who is an avid road bike ride, and rides between 30-40miles each day before he starts work, but has recently had an accident, and is now looking for an e-bike to help maintain his fitness level. Up until this point, I have been unable to think of a suitable bike for him, as he wants two main things. Mid drive and a large front chain wheel. The price is also bang on a budget as well. :)

Just as a generalisation, It's a shame that no one offers aftermarket rigid carbon forks to replace suspension forks. I can well imagine that the geometry would be well and truly upset by fitting the versions that are available for the swap over on existing non suspension bikes.

For some reason, the link doesn't work properly for me.. (no bike details)

Nice looking bike! but i'm just wondering if it's the same 11ah/250w Bosch motor/battery config that's been fitted to so many of the previous models?

Hi Steve.... its possible the link has been taken down. KTM have now launched the 2016 models, although there is pretty much no change to this model. The price is also still the same.

The KTM Ventura models have the Shimano Steps drive, so nothing Bosch at all.
